Automated resource tagging with the new Tag Rule feature 🔥 🏷️

You can now automatically tag resources by creating "tag rules" to let Resmo do the tagging based on the rules you set! 🚀 This will simplify filtering and categorizing your resources without manual work.

With this feature, Resource Groups are no longer needed and have been removed.

There are two different types of resource tagging on Resmo:

  • Manual tagging: Go to navigate to Explore>Resources and click on a resource to see its details. You will see +Add Tag on the right side. Click on it to select and add tags to your resource. Manual tagging is available for Professional and Enterprise plans. 👇

  • Auto-tagging: Auto-tagging automatically filters resources that match the configurations you set in Tag Rules and adds the matching tags to resources. This feature is available to Enterprise plans only.

Configuring a Tag Rule

1. Go to the Settings page and click Tags under Configurations on the left sidebar. Click the Add Tag Rule button to configure.

2. Name your Tag Rule.

3. Enter one or more tags to add to matching resources.

4. Fill out the configuration settings. You can add more than one configuration.

  • Select an integration. If you don't select any, all integrations will be used.
  • If you have labeled your integrations, you can use them to filter resources.
  • Select individual resource types for your tag rule.

5. The most common fields can be selected from the list based on selected integrations and resources. You can also add a custom value to refer to inner fields. Multiple fields can be added.

6. Hit the Create button, and voila! 🤌
