What this means for you

Previously, users had to install the extension individually and manually. Organizations had no quick way of checking whether employees installed extensions or not. MDM and Chrome Device Management configurations remove that friction:

• MDM Configuration: Ensure that every employee has the Resmo browser extension installed on their device. Say goodbye to concerns about employees forgetting to install the extension, leaving your company vulnerable to Shadow IT. MDM automatically sets up the extension across different browsers and any devices, detects SaaS logins, and enhances security.
• Chrome Device Management Configuration: Automatically install the Resmo browser extension on employees' Chrome browsers. The extension detects every SaaS login and related security issues for users who log in with their business emails on any device.

Updates on Directory settings

Previously, Resmo automatically sent a welcome email to new users when they were added to SaaS integrations. Now, users have the flexibility to choose whether to exclude them from receiving this email. This can be configured through the Directory settings page.

Updates on browser extension settings

• We used to send an onboarding email prompting new users to install the browser extension by default. Now, users can opt to select "never" for this request.
• Choose the Selected Domains option to limit SaaS login monitoring for the Resmo browser extension to specific domains, enhancing privacy by tracking only what matters most to your organization.
• Exclude specific personal email provider domains from monitoring to further bolster privacy. Domains such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, or outlook.com can be designated for exclusion.

Configurations for the browser extension are accessible via your company's Resmo account under Settings > Browser Extension. Directory configurations are available under Settings>Directory.
